4 cm isn't really gonna make too much of a difference, especially for a first time snowboarder. I'd probably just go for a 157 if that's an option. That way, she'll still have control over the board...

It seems like skiing was easier to initially learn, but harder to progess after that, and snowboarding was harder to initially learn but easier to progress. Because of that, I prefer snowboarding....

I love my goggles. I wear them probably even when I don't really have to. I have a darker lens so it makes it harder to see when it's cloudy/overcast, but beyond that, I love them.

Yeah it wouldn't hurt. Edges that are more dull will help you from not catching your board when you're BSing on boxes and rails.

I really wish I would have learned this earlier. It's almost like learning to snowboard all over again. You can start to learn 180s once you learn switch off of ollies and some small rollers.
