We are sick of them. They are nothing but spam. I've tried to look the other way with these but we have one member for which this is all they posted. They are now banned. Notice has been served...

Not sure I understand

. Does this mean that if I use "ride" or "rossi", for example, as search words, I'll get no results?

Not at all. Ride, Rossi, Sessions, search and win is a way for people to accumulate points that if you got enough could get you free gear. A big if and some members kept posting new threads to try to get people to click their links to accumulate points.

We got sick of it, and when some members continued to do this despite warnings, they were banned.

As far as threads go related to the actual gear these companies make goes, all is fine.

i briefly used flow search and win last year. it was an interesting thing to start getting obsessed with, but really I would use it for a bit, but the search engine just wasn't on par. if you want to that's cool, but for me the search engine was not great.

I don't care if you put them in your signature. Creating threads to direct people to your link so that you can score points for free gear is a banable offense in my book. My book is the one that counts.

I use the clymb on occasion and many other sites. You won't find me putting up banners and creating threads asking people to use them so I can score gear. I also don't remember any of those sites having such an offer as the Ride and Sessions ones. We do have a steep and cheap thread that I created. It was created to point members to great deals though, not for my personal gain.
