New thread for board thefts?
I wonder if maybe we should have a sticky thread for posts about stolen equipment. Keep it clean of commentary -- just the reports, with maybe the board type (and the serial # if you have it) in the title. So if any of us are ever about to buy something on craigslist, we could check the list first.
As an aside, I've posted a picture of my board's serial # in my blog just so I always know where I can access it. YMMV.

Not a bad idea.
I'd urge everyone to snap a picture of their set up and the serial # and save it. I had a board stolen 3 years ago and I think it just showed up on the local Kijiji without bindings a few days ago. I'm sure it's not the thief, just the guy he sold it to, but whatever, I'm still pissed. Wish I knew the serial # now. Last edited by Bones; 03-13-2011 at 08:44 PM. |
