Default Just an Idea

I love the forum here at Snowboarding Forum, but I was wondering, is there a central go-to snowboarding site that people use? Like I know when you read stuff about games, you generally go to IGN, when you want movie info you go to imdb. I have yet to find a site like that for snowboarding. I know it may be in bad taste to suggest this but I feel as though I would like to make a site like these. Maybe give snow reports, post reviews of products such as equipment, outerwear, and movies. Just something that it would have all the needs of a snowboarder covered. I think that hopefully with some support I could develop this product. Does anyone have any liking towards this idea and want to join up with me? If so, please respond I think it could work out very well.

this basically is my go-to site for all things shred-related.

snow reports are overrated you can rely on the resorts own reports (within reason, they often overestimate snowfall) and there are apps for that sort of thing being developed or already in production that are more crowd-sourced info on snow conditions.

All of that stuff is already here.

This is my go-to site as well. One day I googled snowboard forums and the rest was history.

Make a better site! Just do it, don't ask first.

But this pretty much is the go to site for general snowboarding.

There's different sites geared towards different types of riding, but overall, this is the go to site.

I love the "rah rah"

There is a request for a front page to the techs for this site. It's due to be added soon.

A snow report is not a bad idea, pretty useless though. At least a snap shot one is. All you are going to do is highlight a handful of resorts that got decent snowfall. Also, they tend to be very US/Canada centric and this is a global forum.

Still, I hope to have other goodies on the front page. Member photos are great. Great scenery shots, action shots, and such.

Also it can serve to highlight some of the better threads going on here, such as the ECM. Not sure what else will be included but you can be sure Wolfie and I will be playing with it.

Yeah, there will be an introduction page. Much like you see at EL, Trusnow, or splitboard.

interesting.
I have no idea what they are working on, but I imagine a home/landing page kind of like the one at goneboarding.co.uk
