you've got a business model for failure homie.

you should take some initiative, make a batch, and offer them for sale at a reasonable price. this thread has 7,000 views. many people on here have shown an interest in the stickers. if you want to try and run a business sack the fuck up and do it. meet the consumer demand.

if you believe in your product and yourself then just fucking do it. you're talking about $100 here. if you don't have that in your operating budget then go flip a burger.

I buy cast vinyl at $260CA for a 24" x 50 yard roll. That's a shit ton of decals... but there is work involved and application tape....

Our minimum charge for any job is $50. Not worth the paper work otherwise.

Batch is def the way to go imo... 1-offs are a PITA and expensive

It depends what 10tonvinyl's market is and what risk he's willing to take in being left with 100's of stickers... oh and posting that shit all over the place one at a time... oh and processing the transactions etc etc

agree, that method silhouette isnt the best.. someone try to change it, if not I could live with it.

10tonvinyl: I know you're probably doing this just a hobby and operating expense is high.. I'm willing to pay $10 for 2 to start things out, that work?

Thanks all, for the feedback and suggestions.

I think $7 is quite reasonable for the size 10tonvinyl described, since I think he is talking about single-color custom cut vinyl rather than printed vinyl stickers, although I can see the desire to have both. For my board, I probably would prefer a printed sticker with a contrasting border to be make it visible against my topsheet which looks like this, but against solid-color surfaces like my car window cut vinyl looks classier.

Thanks Cr0, I think the crail grab might work really well, though I'm also afraid the other method will be difficult to decipher as a silhouette, but I might give it a try. I will work on those when I get home later. While I drew the current method freehand, it was loosely modeled after this pic of Pat Moore.

Also, thank you Leo for starting this whole thing

Let me know if you want any help with vectorizing. I recently acquired an Intuos3 and 30" monitor that I need to practice with.

Thanks Tarzanman, I appreciate anything you'd like to do. Here are the vector files (SVG) to play with. design.zip contains the method versions (regular and inverted), and design2.zip has the crail-grab versions.

Preview of the crail grab versions:

I must admit, I dig the crail grab.

I sent this revision to the sign place to get a quote and hopefully it'll be less weeding labor. Even if not, the previous design I submitted would have been <$5 each, mailed price. It's kind of a hybrid of the more favored designs posted so far. I should know the final price and production date early next week.

This is kind of what I referred to way back in the thread that there are several viable "workstreams" (pardon the corporate-speak), but none come to fruition when the feedback and revision process goes on forever or for whatever reason. For those close to getting their own design sourced and done, I say go for it. I'm not competing with anyone, this isn't a business venture for me, and it's just a fun way to give back to SBF. If you don't like this one, it's all good. Variety is the spice of life. Back in a few days.

Cheers,
Husky

Yessir! Crail looks way more legit. Cr0 will forever be immortalized via sticker haha. Alright, $7... I'm down. Can't decide which colorway.

Anyway to make these a vinyl cut out rather than a full sticker? Might be cool to do a block sticker with the lettering part cut out. I would then stick it on a section of my board where it's a solid color. Or stick Cr0 on a colored section and the rest on a solid.

That might look sick. Actually, give me the cut out lettering too. Two stickers in one!
