politics and religion are as intrinsic to one another as anything could be.

this is why the suggestion that there is / should be a seperation between the two is complete phooey

Some people can't see the difference between their religion (superstition) and real political issues. And then they interefere in political debates using religious arguments.

While others are so fanatic about their political point of view that it becomes like a religion to them.
