Glad to help.
I wanted to say this earlier, but I forgot. Until I start paying for something I will not complain about the adds. I do agree that they are pretty bad when I use a computer without the proper ad protection, but in the end unless I am paying I don't really care as it keeps this site alive for me to read, for free... |

Chrome without any addons give me top and bottom banners + adds on the right side, and until this problem was mentioned I haven't even noticed them
Though, I'll give adblockplus a tryout run, I guess it could be quite handy thanks for the tip

They're regionally directed ads. I've had them hitting me hard for a couple months and it's just getting worse. A site like this shouldn't have ones like that it ruins the forum experience. They want to make some money do a site skin take over, blah blah blah, nerd shit, blah blah blah.

I have no real problem with advertising, when I am not paying to use the site, it has to make it's money somehow, but when will they realise there is a line between subtle yet effective advertising, Google and facebook for example, and then the in your face just to piss you off kind of adds? I have not felt the need to block ads until using this forum, c'mon guys, lets tidy it up a bit otherwise this ship will sink, just like the late great snowboard.com

Not a whole lot we can do, we do not own the website. If you have the right setup you only get static banners like any other website out there today. If anything, we should just put a thread on the right parameters to avoid ads. I run Chrome and have very few problems...
