the ads and especially the pop-ups on this site have gotten much much worse this year.

i DO NOT want to be looking thru the 'New Posts' and get bombarded by Dodge fucking truck ads that pop up on my screen.

that shit is annoying as hell, but at least there is a 'x' to close the box. today i get an add for some dr. seuss shit and some other gay fucking thing, but this time its just audio coming at me - with no other windows up at all. no box on the browser to close, no new browser window popped up, just some stupid fucking ad yapping at me from the nether-regions of my cpu.

i'm getting pretty fucking sick of it.

causes the site to load slower because of all the 3rd party cookies and addresses that have to load.

ADMIN: STOP BEING SO FUCKING GREEDY - WE DON"T WANT ANY MORE FUCKING ADS

What browser are you using?

I get a static banner ad across the top and another down the side. No pop-ups, no audio

I've got basic Firefox and a free memebership

Sounds like you've got a bit of malware on your computer! Using Firefox, with a free membership as well, all I have is two up at the top and one down the right side of the page.

I meant the membership for this site, free, gold, lifetime, etc. I've got the same free one that I think you have (ie it doesn't say anything under where my avatar would be)

Sounds like you might have some malware. It's not necessarily the ad, it's the malware that stays resident and defeats the ad blocker setting. Once you have it, ads and pop-ups start getting thru.

I never really take notice, but I haven't seen any ad for Dr. Suess on here. Could be you're pulling it in from somewhere else

I happen to be in Austria right now, and I'm getting only a banner on the top and down the side, but in German! The only German I know is how to ask for the nearest bar! Do these idiots not realise that I am reading an ENGLISH website and should therefore be targeted with ENGLISH ads?? I would prefer none, but I guess they have to make their money somehow. However, I also agree that a lot of internet advertising is getting way too much in your face and will eventually drive people away.
