why is this fugging website constantly asking me to re enter my log in details?

about 12 times in 5 minutes thus far today. it was bothced (but less so) last week too.

it is making my efforts in talking bollocks even more tiresome than usual!

dammit!

i am disinclined to tick the 'remember me' thing on my work poota.... but the same occurs both here and at home

plus it happens in other forum sites too; defo something limited to how i am interacting with the server thing.

as a time out function, it is less than 60 seconds, but there is no requirement for any period of idle time

How about the ads that prevent the entire page from loading. That's some annoying BS. Hit refresh 3,623 times and maybe you'll get the whole page!

still more reliable than TOS though

yup was getting that a lot last week as well.... a big white page, a little 'done' in the bootom left....

not so bad currently; just this constant need to sign in on viewing a new page / making a post.....

oh what a life!

its not so much that i think i am worth the interweb ether thought police keeping an eye on me.... but paolo is unknown to my work colleagues and serves as a defence agains them unravelling what it is that i do elsewhere.

if i tick remember me, people who use my poota in my absence, could find out such a user name (minimum) or my password too (and thus everything)

it is not unwise to be cautious i think.... i am stupified to see friends post myriad e-mail addresses and even telephone numbers and dates of birth on myface type pages!!!

Cuz if you do, then you'll have your own "local settings" folder, with your own cookies, and thus all your login information on sbf.com will stay in there, that no one else will have access to. COmputers (more importantly, web browsers) don't just memorize shiet... they store it all in your local settings folder, under a specific login. If anyone else logs in (even an administrator) the computer will act as if its never seen sbf.com before.

yeah man, all that effort for nothing.

I suppose if you ever walk away from your computer and someone jumps on it, they can screw you royally, but that's why you should lock it everytime u leave.

And yeah, since the admins can find you red handed anyways, there's no reason to be so dilligent about deleting your history. (i suppose the 1 day history thing is a good idea though, the less "they" have on you the better).

You know your workplace better than I do though, personally here they'll see a custom background (obviously downloaded) and no one will have a problem with it... which shows me that some intarweb use is OK.

no such company based issue.... it only affected this place and its immediate relatives.

that said, all seems perfectly functional now.
