This isn't snowboarding related, well not that I know of. Who knows if all those rib shots I took over the years contributed...
Anyway, I've been sick with a sore throat and coughing for what's going on three weeks. The coughing was at its worse on Sunday. Well, Monday I was fine aside from light coughing and sore throat when all of a sudden I had a sharp, sharp pain in my left lung area.
I thought it was my ulcer returning so I got up to walk it off. What followed next was the single most painful experience of my life. I broke my hand twice, had a broken nose, mild concussion, and numerous sprains and pulled muscles... none held a candle to this pain I experienced.
Spent the night in the hospital over 4th of July and they concluded that I got pleurisy. It's an inflammation of the lining of the lungs. So basically, every time I breath or move, my left lung is raw rubbing against my chest walls.
I've never cried in pain, but this time I did. I had tears flowing like a little baby lol.
Anyway, I highly recommend that you guys go to the doc's office if you have a cough that lasts longer than a couple of days. They said the pleurisy was most likely related to my cough. Meaning viral or bacterial, it went to my lung.
I don't wish this pain on my worst enemy...
