2 weeks ago we went boarding for the afternoon. Upon leaving, my GF went to the restroom (what a surprise...) and my 10 y.o. son and I started taking off helmets, gloves, etc, as it was very warm.
When in the parking lot, my son slip and fell on an ice patch. Bare hands. Carrying his board. GF went to get a patroller to take care of it, as it was a deep cut. Then they had to fill in a report. It was funny because "parking lot" doesn't figure in the "where the hell did it happen" choice list. We then went and waited 4 hours (thanks "free" health system...) at the hospital for stitches. Here's a picture after the cleaning, before the stitches:

Hey, at least your healthcare is "free". I would have stuck a paper towel on it to stop the bleeding and went about my business, at least you have that option

Superglue FTW, or new skin which is basically the same thing with antiseptic. Fixed some gnarly gashes with it. No health insurance stubborn prick blah blah blah lol. I always kinda wondered if the edge could do damage now i know.
