hey guys, I'm relatively new on the snowboarding scene, and am buying my first set up for a trip into the Alps early 2010.
Living in Perth Australia it's hard getting advise from people (other than the internet) because snowboarding is not huge at all. We only have 2 stores in a city of nearly 2 million that sells boards, and even then the store people don't know too much about the scene.
So to my problem......
Im having doubts about my ability after hearing great reviews on the Burton Custom X. I dont want to buy it and be completely overwhelmed by its ability. I've snowboarded in europe a bit, Austria, Poland and Slovakia, and recently came back from an amazing trip in Japan. Fell in love with powder, and started doing tree runs in the last 7 days of the trip. I consider myself an OK rider, I can ride switch at a decent speed, comfortable through thick pow, and confident all over the mountain.
If I buy the Custom X, is the board going to dominate me? Money is not an issue, I just want something that I can really progress into.
Cheers
