SIMS Boards?
Hey guys, new to snowboarding this year and have been researching and buying everything slowly. I was curious on peoples opinion and reviews on SIMS boards. From the research I did it looks like they used to be huge brand and very popular, reliable boards...but at some point kind of went under and had to sell. I have already bought a SIMS 2010 Steve Fisher 157 Pro as my first board, got it for $175, looked up the retail value and it appears when it came out it was a $600 board, so I figured doesn't matter what company you go with, a board that pricey is bound to be good. So ya, just curious as to what people think/know of SIMS equipment and boards, and if anyone knows any ups or downs about my board. Thanks!

Looks like a good board/deal, but a stiffer pro model. As a newb you might have been better off with something soft. My b/f is riding the poop out of his low end Sims and it's doing fine. I can tell it is not the greatest quality but yours is higher end so you won't have the same issues (like it not holding wax on the cheap base, yours is sintered).

Ah ok, thanks for your input. I didn't know what sintered was lol I know it probably wasn't the best board for a beginner but I know it was a good deal and wanted a board that will last me as I progress as a better rider, and this board should be good for whatever style of riding I want. Just need to get a few seasons out of it at least lol
