That plow would kill that little toy truck in no time at all. I'd rather have Argo's rig any day and I'm not even a Dodge guy. This is just a little corporate publicity gig anyway.
I agree it's just a bit of corporate pandering, but that truck would be fine pushing that little plow. I see little shit boxes pushing plows around here all the time.
I don't see what good a plow would do in the "backcountry". Yeah it could push snow on the street just fine, but there's no way it could push snow or even drive well in the backcountry.
T Rice may be going places I'm not this winter. But I'm going places he isn't as well.
^ that's the kinda stuff I daydream design in my head all the time.
To do any serious plowing you need at least a 1 ton (some guys go bigger) with the diesel, and even then those guys burn out their trannies and out a lot of wear on those beast engines.
Ive got a cool rig that has potential... I've been thinking a lot about some more work training and all that. Can't do the roofing anymore. Killing my body everyday, and getting paid peanuts. Thinking about becoming a heavy duty equipment tech. Could work either at the waterfront in town (got an in through family) or up north in shifts. Pays more than six figures (sometimes a lot more) easily once things get going. Stay in town and I can take time off whenever I want! Could work anywhere... and I already got this big bus. Seats 20, huge cargo area, '99 E450 7.3L Power Stroke diesel. So much potential... Not as good as a big 4x4, real crappy ground clearance, but chains and snows and it'll drive through a lot! Could just powder chase in the interior all winter!
