From how old and which one to start with?

I get this question frequently asked about kids which one should they start? Snowboarding or skiing?!
or "How old should kids start snowboarding?" I always fell like they should start them by skiing first because the legs are separated. What do you guys think?

You don't need to start kids on skis any more. The new kids boards have rounded edges all around and they can start around age 3 or so.

My youngest started at 5, on a board after a year on skis, she could have started on a board at 4.

I think it all depends on the kid, but many physically active new parents I've talked to are planning to get the kid engaged as soon as they start walking (with activities such as skiing, boarding, cycling, diving...)

Here is an old video of a 1 year old kid having a blast on a snowboard:

I've been helping a 2 year old learn how to ride. He's figured out how to skate and skid turns to the right and left as well as stop. This myth they need to start on skis is just that.

It was true that you need to start on skis before snowboarding was invented
