Locking Up My Board

I'm going to go buy a lock tomorrow, I should of gone snowboarding today but I forgot I don't have a lock and being where I live and the board I have, not locking it up would be a very bad idea. I'd have to shit in the woods strapped to my board still or take the board with me to the toilet or restaurant.

Anyways which is a better choice, combo lock or key? Which is less likely to freeze up and be reliable? I'm gonna get a bike lock, none of these Burton/Dakine floss cords in a plastic case. Most likely leave it at the base.

Just curious, does anyone else take there board with them literally everywhere around the mountain/lodge? I don't even trust locks when it comes to my board

If somebody gets through that lock, the theft of your board is simply mean to be.

^this^

Once I got a good cable & combo lock, I don't worry about my boards security.

Oh yeah, mine takes shit with me. I bring it in the stall.

Nobody has ever said anything when I bring it in there.

I don't ever let it out of my sight.

It depends where I am. When I was in Whistler and Japan I locked my board all the time regardless of how long I was away for. I actually caught a guy grabbing it once at Whistler as I was walking out one of the restaurants. Dirty fucker, he's lucky the missus with with me.

Here in Jackson I don't bother. This place has some sort of wholesome vibe where people just don't pinch stuff, even with all the extras around for the Christmas break. Half the people in town don't even lock their houses.

I wonder if there was ever any word on BA's stolen porch gear.

Does anyone know if there is tracking technology available for boards yet? This would be a nice way to keep a tab on stolen boards.

I live in Japan, and haven't even thought about buying a lock, people just don't steal your s**t here. The people have respect for each other and their belongings. Really saddens me to see people getting their boards stolen, or even having to worry about whether lock it up or not.

Maybe try something like this:
Knog Fisticuff Lock | Chain Reaction Cycles
