Default Poll: Company With Best Branding

Who has you favorite branding in the industry? Best general tone in their communications with customers and most authentic, "un-hyped" messaging.

(Obviously its difficult economic times and with social networking all of these brands have people posting "fan" reviews for their boards on Dogfunk etc. But some companies seem to let this "over the top" hype and aggressive sales schtick permeate all of their branding.)

Who is keeping it real and representing snowboarding the way "you" think they should. And I don't mean aesthetically because there's an equally important place for aggro skulls and techie split boards. Only 10 spots on the poll so post your "others".

Burton
Capita
Rome
Ride
K2
Jones
Yes
Lib
Never Summer
Other

Some companies whose brandings I like:

Volcom
32

would be some of the bigger ones, but I like what some of the smaller guys are doing, like,

Remind Insoles
Bluebird Wax

Strangely, while some of the 10 you listed have products that I like, none of them seem to make an impact on me the way you are suggesting, hence my, others.

I agree Snowklinger. I just grabbed the ten that came up most often in industry trades as a starting point.

I was looking into Stepchild boards last week and I kept running across discussion about their somewhat new "sleaze bag" marketing slant. And it was interesting how some riders felt it excluded them and others felt it was too calculated. Add to that all of the bogus board reviews every company posts on Dogfunk and it made me wonder what other forum members here thought.

I think YES does a decent job of walking the line between being commercial and rider driven. (Whatever that buzz term means)

I actually like rossignol's understated style of marketing quite a bit. It seems like there is a lot less of the "look at this crazy graphic, we are so original and cool" and more of a "our products speak for themselves" kind of attitude.

Hey Klinger! What do you think of that Bluebird wax? I've only used swix and Oneballjay. I'd like to try something different. Do they sell it in any shops around Breck? I'm bringing my wax kit with me and would like to try it out.

I know theres business n marketing everywhere... but with Jones I have the feeling, I actually buy a board from a guy not from a company, so their marketing obviously works Also they have good customer service by Nidecker, I get questions answered quickly and detailed and get the boards I want to demo easily. And I like their designs.

People actually read the reviews from Dogfunk? I know people that are paid to write those.

Ordered 2lbs direct from them last year. Make sure to scrape it warm. Also its like soy/organic, no nasty fumes, smells like bubble gum.
