Breaking out the new board

Just curious to know when you guys start riding your new boards for the seasons. This question is for free riders. Just curious at what depth you guys switch from rock board to new board.

Most probably ride the new stick asap! I say ride it like you stole it, it's meant to be used, rocks or no rocks. I never concern myself with depth, just the number of trails open being worth the drive and money. Bare spots/rocks in the trail add character to the mountain, and to your base :) Nothing a little ptex or wax can't fix. Just hop those big ones.

I beat on my stuff. That said. 40" of base in the woods is probably a pretty safe place.

Once you get a scratch you'll stop worrying so just get out n ride!

I agree with everyone above...scars are pretty.

BUT since Cali is just kinda starting to get into that point of the season where we "SHOULD" be catching decent dumps, I'm saving one of the new decks till we get a nice storm.

but this snow drought we are having is…

At this rate, I doubt I'll be able to break out any boards at all...!:thumbsdown:

DON'T JYNX IT!:)

I am at the point of actually just spending a grand or so on a trip to WY, or UT already! I hate checking my snow app. and seeing 12+" and Mammoth, Bear, etc. 20" base with 0 new snow fall in sight! Not even a measly 4" storm! WTF

Haha i feel you, i hate it when someone say's they're getting a bunch of snow and it's raining at my house.

I'm in western Massachusetts near UMASS Amherst. Forecast has now dropped down to 14 inches and Amherst is getting 18 (which is weird cause i'm in a hill town 30 mins north so i think i should get more snow) but still awesome. It's all going to be super fine powder, tomorrow has a high of 6* and windchill of -17*! It's snowed all day and will go on until 11 tomorrow. It's forecasted to snow up to 2 inches per hour tonight and have winds gusting to 45 mph! School was canceled for Thursday and Friday even before Christmas brake ended. It's pay your age day at my local mountain this weekend too!

Sunday evening and Monday are supposed to be rain though...:thumbsdown:

Sorry about making the thread go off topic:unsure:
