i am completely the opposite.. I am so impatient.. probably to a fault. I am really pushing myself but I think its paid off. Some of my friends are surprised how far I've come in just two months. I'm kinda happy with myself.. ridings the first thing that I've actually been able to pick up -- and then progress -- so its a moral victory too haha

But yeah, I wanted in the park by the end of the season.. so thats why I'm working so hard.

Some of you have ridden more in your first seasons than I have my entire life! I think being 5 hours from the mountains is the reason BLEH. I only get to go snowboarding 1-3 times a year.

My first season was last yr and only went once. That sucks but was hooked even though I spent alot of time on my ass. This yr I have been three times so far. It is pretty cool. I even gave up playin pick-up ice hockey to spend more time on the slopes. Just went yesterday and ended up with two brokin straps. The price you pay to get better.

In my first season I was purely a skier with little interest in snowboarding. The only reason why I even bothered trying it is because I was at local resort with some exchange students who were all newbies. I realized I would get very bored skiing with them. So I rented a board, got a lesson, and fell on my ass/wrists a good number of times. I went a couple more times later that season, and by the next season I had my own equipment and suddenly I was a snowboarder!
