Snowboard Startup needs your help!

Hey guys/gals,

First time poster here but I have lurked on and off for a number of years. I've been boarding for 16 years and am a Level 1 Snowboard instructor.

I am going to be launching a snowboard product and startup company in the next few months and plan to have the product in stores next fall.

I can't say much about it at this point due to the patent not being finalized but I think it is a very cool product and I think you will to.

What I need some help with is my Brand Name that will appeal to snowboarders of all ages and sexes. I have a logo that I like and plan to use but having trouble with the other half of the equation. We plan to release soft goods with our brand once the new product is established so I need a name/logo that YOU guys/gals would want to wear on a hat, hoodie, beanie, T-shirt etc.

Here are my frontrunners for our Brand name. I would really appreciate it if you could vote for the one you like and maybe leave a comment/suggestion on how to make it better.

If you don't like either one than I would really like any suggestions you might have.

OPTION 1

The idea behind this is: To someone who doesn't snowboard/ski a snow covered windswept mountain is a Wasteland. However, to those of us who love this sport, that is where we want to be. Industries can be swapped out for Boardwear, Unlimited, whatever.

OPTION 2

The idea behind this is: I don't really have a hook built into this name other than water of the frozen variety is pretty damn important to snowboarding =)

H20 Unlimited is also high on my list instead of industries.

Keep in mind that I am a photoshop hack and the end result logo will be designed by a professional. Main feedback I need is on the name and the snowflake logo.

OPTION 3

Both your ideas suck bro. THIS is what you should do...

We will be rolling out a Kickstarter campaign later this year to help raise both funding and awareness of our new product.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

No video, no deal. Now fuck off.

Oh joy another new fucking company for me to mock because it sucks. You're a startup and you don't have a brand name. How unprepared were you with your business plan? Seriously? You're offering nothing to this site and asking of it. Fuck off!

I just trademarked both names, now you can buy the trademark from me but I'll only charge you double as a forum member discount. But no really, a public poll on what to name a brand is a terrible idea. And if you have to explain the reason behind the concept then the concept fails.

Is your start up a refuse recycling home snow maker? Because waste land sounds dumb I'd call it the ass blaster snow machine 4000. Why 4000? Because it's better than the 3,999 before it that's why!

what are those images? and why are you asking here?

i've been involved in branding several startups over the years. please do some actual research. please understand the process of creating a brand that works. and if you're still set on going forward... please hire a professional designer.

+1 on this advice

Times Roman font is a fail...and don't even think of Times NEW Roman... basically don't use any font that comes default on your Microsoft Publisher program...:thumbs down:
and don't use the words "make it pop" when speaking to your graphic designer.

BurtonAvenger 01-15-2014 10:50 PM

I'm sure their ass blaster snow cannon really "pops"
