Default Advice on snowboarding videos?

Hey guys, if you wouldn't mind, could you take a look at a video I put up on YouTube. I would really appreciate any advice I could get, whether it be on my style, my technique for snowboarding or even just advice on the video. Feel free to comment on the video.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

My advice, stop spamming your video across multiple threads. Second we cant critique style if we can see your lower body which makes all of your video pointless for help, and it is tragically boring. I'd suggest learning to cut sections out but had you done that there would have been nothing left.

If you're actually looking for help, film your lower body as well, if you're trying to work on video, well lets just say you should make an actual video, not just one long continuous shot of nothing. And if you're doing this just to try and show off your riding and gain some cool factor, well you'd be accomplishing the exact opposite by posting video of casually riding down a green or blue groomer and doing nothing.

Not really able to see your boarding at all, it's just your upper body going down the slopes?!?

From what I could see, it looked like you were standing up too tall, get down low for a more athletic stance!

You need to use the wide setting and get a monopod pole Amazon.com: NeewerŪ Extendable Self-portrait Camera Tripod Telescopic Monopod for Digital Camera & Camcorder: Camera & Photo which extends out to almost 36 inches and then you can get from the top of your head to the bottom of your board in the video. Here's a photo from some of our videos - you can even get the person in front of you in the video.

Nice to hear from you again firstx1017, how you been? to the OP, for what i can see is you are standing tall as what poutanen mentioned, and you seemed to just ruddering your short turns . You having your front leg almost straight bounces you off pretty good when you hit dips or whatever, bend a bit more with your front leg and also your shoulder is open meaning your chest is facing forward

Hanging in there - still perfecting this snowboarding thing! Finally got my "mystery date" arm under control and still working on things that snowolf pointed out to me. Working on my turns and no longer "hopping" to change edges on the steeper terrain. Still love it - got back on skis this past weekend for the first time in 4 years and OMG I HATED IT!! I couldn't wait to get back on the snowboard! We have decided to take our ski gear down to Play it Again Sports to sell. No longer keeping them as we have no desire to get on skis again!

Trying to teach my husbands 33 year old daughter this year - I am learning "patience" with her - let's just say that! She can only handle an hour and then she's back at the condo for a nap! Been almost a month now and she just started to link her turns yesterday. Hoping it goes quickly now.

I'm trying to get my neighbour to do the same thing. Whenever he goes out with his work buddies he brings his skis so he can keep up, but if he boarded for those days he'd be a solid intermediate boarder by now?!?!?!
