Default insoles for guys w/ flat feet?

Finally jumping on the insole bandwagon. Local sporting goods shop sells Superfeet, and I'm not sure which type I need. I've been reading that the Green is their flagship ski/snowboard insole. I was born with some pretty flat feet, so I'm not entirely sure this is the right one for me.

Any of you guys have flatter feet? If so, what kind of insole are you using? When I say "type", I'm talking about the actual shape (i.e. does it have more arch support?). Not sure what I need for flat feet....

Thanks!

I am just getting into the insole game the last couple years, never had customs, have very flat, fat, duck/hobbit feet.

Fwiw I have learned that even with completely collapsed arches, we still need and greatly benefit from arch support. Depending on the foot, boot, and insole, how much arch is the tricky bits...I don't go for a ton, but notice the support in aftermarkets for sure anyway.

and sorry I"m still calling out Truthabtinsoles don't waste your time looking at his "so called review" it will provide absolutely ZERO insight for you.

sheepstealer have you used any of those digital scanning machines at higher end shoe stores. After many many years I got fit for some high end work shoes and inserts. Not orthodics from a Dr. but more over the counter type. I walked around in them for just under 30 minutes and couldn't believe how good they felt. The true test will be when I pick up everything and where them around for a few months. I can't speak to their longevity or prolonged comfort yet, but still may be worth you giving a shot.

This is the what I was fitted with

Get fitted...go to someplace like REI that has a bunch of types and sizes, take out of package and stand on them, notice how the arch matches or not and how they feel. If you don't have to cut them down to size, put them in your shoes and walk and jump around in the store for a bit. Pick the best fitting ones, then wear them around for a while. If they don't work, go back to REI, return and try another.
