Wow. That was nuts! :blink:

That was a really weird avalanche. It seemed like it started out up high as a classic dry slab avalanche, then transitioned into a monster wet slide lower down. :dunno:

Pretty amazing how it slowly turns into a wall of ice moving like a train.

I just finished shovelling the snow at the mouth of my driveway that the snow plow had pushed in and commented to myself on how heavy it was. This is not wet snow as the temp is about -9 C right now. Watching that slide, I cannot imagine the weight of what was coming down off the mountain. I too was stunned that those first two houses were not ripped off their foundations. The power of Mother Nature never fails to impress. :omg:

Stunning example of what the mountains are capable of.
