And GBR got a 6th... Well congrats on that... 2 in the top 10...

Maybe people will stop laughing at British snowboarders a little now, and it can only be good for there sponsorship and progression hopefully...

At least you didn't say Sage.

Why was Staale better than Parrot?

I thought he had a cleaner more interesting run...

I understand all the spin to win crap, but Stale does have some serious style to go with it... Again just my opinion...

Sage was, well, BORING...!!!

Mark McMorris was a good run as well, as Max Parrot, but i would of scored it Stale 1st, Mark 2nd and Max 3rd...

And while we are on the subject, i bet Shaun White wished he had entered now, cos he is BORING and would probably of won it had he been in the final... Haha. I bet if the scoring goes this way in the future he will be back in there competing in Slopestyle much more...!!!

LOL i hadnt though about it, but after you mention it... heck, with the way judging went, he could have definitely won! not only that, but he could have finished higher than Parrot and Toots. Hahaha would have been a slap.

But yea... it's done. Finally. Happy for Sage and Mark. They're great guys.

But Parrot was the man.

Sage was exciting and creative but Ståle was flawless. Hard to judge, i don't mind that Sage took the gold hands and all, I'm just excited Ståle brings home a medal. Well deserved for all the medalist

I agree with the first statement but in no way is sage boring. He has the most style and his grabs are dope. Do I think he desreved to win gold no but I am excited he did, yes!!!

And for max, he is boring, his style is so robotic

I fail to see how a layback tailpress, double cork holy crail grab (basically a crail japan crosshand mix, hard to explain) and landing a back 1620 japan (which he had never tried before) is boring. Just because he didn't do a triple? Triples are ruining the sport. I'm all for progression, but when we start to look like aerial skiers and all originality and creativity is replaced with who can do the most spins on/off rails and in the air with the most stock grabs possible we need to draw a line. You can predict almost every rider's run. It's getting boring seeing everyone do the same runs with an extra spin or two added in somewhere.

Agree on so many levels. I pretty much am able to call each run before it happens and that is not what snowboarding is about. When I ride i see a natural feature or rail or something that i didnt plan on hitting and end up doing something fun on it. Snowboarding is spontaneous not supposed to be this format where if you want to win you have to do these tricks
