Headphones with on ear controls
I'm looking for a set of headphones or IEM's that have their controls on the ear so that I can pause/play/next without taking off my gloves.

In particular, I'm looking for headphones that don't have a headband (I think they're called clip-ons?):
These would fit well under my helmet and beanie but they don't have controls

or in-ears like this:
These would fit as well and have the controls on-ear but are expensive and I don't really need wireless.

I've found outdoor technology's wireless drop ins except those only work if you wear earpads with your helmet.

I've also found skull candy's icons but they have the band so I can't wear it under my helmet.

Even if someone has a clever idea on how to ghetto something, I'll gladly try it.

I know you said you didn't want wireless but what about Outdoor Technology Adapt? Assuming your device has bluetooth you can use any pair of headphones you want and still have control. The device is a little small but you still should be able to use gloves.

This was the only way I could figure to have controls with an Android. Apple product has the controls on the earphones which is nice on my iPod.

I have a pair of Skull Candy speakers that fit in either the collar of my jacket or the ear flaps of my Red helmet; they use the helmet as a kind of sub-woofer that really brings out deep bass (if you use them in the collar, you should buy the optional amp or they're kind of flat sounding). They come with a controller on the cord that allows you to turn on/off and adjust the volume, even with gloves on. Not sure the name of them, I bought them a couple of seasons ago. There should be plenty of even better options by now. They sound great.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was looking at the adapt as well but the buttons are a bit small to be easy to use with gloves. The reason I want the on ear controls is because I can just tap them without having to reach into my jacket through zippers and such.

The chips drop ins were almost perfect but again, I don't wear earpads so that's where my problem lies.

As well, I would prefer not to use speakers since I don't want other people listening to my music :P
