is 40 mph gusts enough to shut downs lifts in the new england area??

Yeah. This happens alot, especially at Wildcat Mountain. 40 mph winds make the lifts not very stable and not very safe.

Come to Jay. Lifts get shut down for wind a lot but when they are running its amazing what they will run through. Ive faceplanted getting off the lift before because the wind gusted as I was going down the ramp.

yea thats what i was thinking of doing, driving up to jay tonite and boarding all day tomorrow, but i dont wanna go if half the mountain is gonna be shut down..

Jay otta be fine tomorow. conditions were great today. It was like spring conditions but nice. nice firm base on the groomers and packed powder in the trees. I doubt that things will be closed but the bonnie and the Jet always run so you can always get to most of the good terrain
