Burton Gortex gloves, smelling like fish??

these gloves are half leather and this was my first time out with them & omg they smelled so bad like fish and made my hands smell like fish so bad..what gives?

Not that I know of? no one else has had this issue before? Only thing I can find from google search is new leather sometimes does that.

It's wet leather. Wet leather smells. It will fade in time. Stop sniffing your fingers lol.

Some Burton Gloves come with water proofing conditioner wax for leather...did you treat it with that before you took em out?

My Burton Gondy gloves are leather and came with a small sample pack. I treated them and haven't had any problems so far. No bad fish smell.
