Does anyone know of a store where I can buy HDPE plastic? I've found websites where you can order it, but shipping's more than the actual sheet itself ($85 for shipping). Lowe's and Home depot don't carry it, and none of the local lumberyard's websites have anything on it.
I have nothing really to contribute I just found it amusing that you're talking about distributors that the company I work for sells to. I'm an engineer at a plastics company . Where do you live? I might know a few companies in the area.
I was surprised to discover US Plastic is a hardcore christian company...the catalog has passages and shit in it. The owner said god told him to start the company
haha wow. well, their website sucks . I live in the portland Maine area - i found plastics supply of maine or something like that in westbrook. Seeing as you're an engineer - is buying UHMW PE worth the extra cash as opposed to hdpe?
Hey was just browsing for info on building my own box. Thanks for the tip on the plastic company in Manchester Gotta love NH. Was planning on HDPE and if they cut to order that'll be prime. Was planning on a 12ft flat 1'wide 2'high. Does that sound too big to anyone... or do two small boxes and link em?
1/4 is considerably cheaper but was it hard to countersink? I'm afraid of investing in a piece of plastic that I'm just going to end up messing up when I go to drill it on.
right.... but how would you countersink 1/8" so the screws are below the surface?
sounds sketch to me. That's why I'm asking if its hard with a 1/4" or should I play it safe and go 3/8"?
have you used 1/8" with success?
awesome. Think I'm gunna go for the 3/8".. But Thanks for the help!
