Hdpe

Does anyone know of a store where I can buy HDPE plastic? I've found websites where you can order it, but shipping's more than the actual sheet itself ($85 for shipping). Lowe's and Home depot don't carry it, and none of the local lumberyard's websites have anything on it.

thanks a lot

Plastic Supply Inc. in Manchester NH. You don't want to buy HDPE (it's just puckboard), you want UHMW Polyethylene.

$210 for a 4'x 10' x .25" sheet. And they'll cut to order. It might be cheaper now because material demand is slowing.

I have nothing really to contribute I just found it amusing that you're talking about distributors that the company I work for sells to. I'm an engineer at a plastics company . Where do you live? I might know a few companies in the area.

I was surprised to discover US Plastic is a hardcore christian company...the catalog has passages and shit in it. The owner said god told him to start the company

haha wow. well, their website sucks . I live in the portland Maine area - i found plastics supply of maine or something like that in westbrook. Seeing as you're an engineer - is buying UHMW PE worth the extra cash as opposed to hdpe?
