Contour and the ongoing saga...
 
Well we all know the story about contour, we all know that they are back in business...

My story is that in late 2012 early 2013 i bought 2 Contour+2's

I have no issue with one, the other was replaced under warranty but i got back a camera that was faulty...

So on the company trading again, i contacted them, still under warranty, and still covered by the warranty issued by the company that was now trading, and as i understand it, was agreed when completing the paperwork for taking over the company...

Well, i eventually got someone to answer my emails, they told me my warranty was now expired, ermmm no, not when i emailed you about it, i have the read receipt for when you opened the email, so it IS still covered...

Anyway, they agreed to send out a new camera, the problem is, they sent out a camera that does not work, it won't connect to bluetooth, won't update the firmware, and actually has a serial number older than the camera i originally purchased, how that works i do not know...

And to add insult to injury, i got stuck with a $60 import charge because they filled in the paperwork wrong when shipping...!!!

And now they will not reply to emails...

I would never trust this company again, they have no idea what they are doing, and don't seem to understand the concept of getting things right...

I wonder how many others are in the same boat now...???

There is a reason they went out of business. I'm sorry for your headaches but you might want to look at a few of the competitors out there. Garmin, Sony, GoPro, etc..

I already have a GoPro 3 Black as well...!!!

It sucks though that they just have no idea how to run a business and are still intent on getting it wrong...!!!

I am not going to stress too much, i have the added advantage of having purchased by credit card in the UK, so can simply return as faulty for a full refund when the time comes...! They have issues are not fixing the issues, so may well end up doing that...

It sucks though, as i have been a long time user of contour right back to the 1st they did, and i currently have 2 +2's and a Roam, and my Stepson has a +2 as well, and my son has a HD, and about 15 spare batteries etc, so we always are well equipped when out and about...

This is the last chance they have to get it right...! If i do not get a satisfactory answer this week, they will be going back... All of them...!!!
