Bought my summer season's pass today

preparing for summer, bought myself a new mountain bike today, I already have a freeride bike and a killer commuter bike, so I wanted to try something new, I picked up a Kona Honzo a 29'er, hardtail, chromoly frame, 120mm front suspension, single chainring in the front and a 10 speed cassette.

anyone else here ride ?

I mountain bike a lot during the spring and summer, and I don't spend no where near as much money on mountain biking as I do boarding. I have a old Gary Fisher than I been riding on for years, but I've replaced everything on the bike except the frame time due to normal wear and tear. I mainly putz around in the woods or on trails, never on a road.

Not nearly as into it as some folks but I did just pick up a Diamomdback Sortie 3 29er. Which cost a lot more than I have spent on snowboarding in two years. Looking forward to having a decent full suspension bike for riding up and down the trails around here.

I do but usually DH/Freeride type. I'm not in to uphill so much because my legs are too burnt for the best part of it.... I'm thinking of dropping it though, it's maybe the most dangerous thing I do. I do have. A xc bike. It's a Fuji Outland..

Yeah I just upgraded my hard tail with new components for some XC trails and killclimbz you will love the sortie I had the sortie black till I ordered the scapegoat last week. I second that it can be dangerous I look at it like this it is a risk not a gamble. I know the odds and mitigate them the best I can so the risk is as low as it can be, but sometimes there is nothing you can do.

I don't mind xc but dh has been a whole different animal. I have had a couple diggers doing xc but that is no comparison to the whip outs on my Dh...

i like motorcycles.

don't ever wanna crash.

SnowDogWax 03-29-2014 02:18 PM

Had a motorcycle when I was younger… new I was an accident ready to happen…. Sold it soon after buying….

ShredLife 03-29-2014 02:21 PM

never even stepped over one till i was 31.

at that point 20 years of snowboarding and many crashes @60mph+ and many injuries on snow as well as waiting till after i was out of my early 20s both i'm sure have contributed to my survival thusfar.

that and harleys not sportbikes so far.
