Default SnowThunderStorm?

Has anyone ever been in a thunder storm that was also a snow storm? In Winona, MN or Southeastern Minnesota right along the IA/MN/WI border its dumbing snow/ice. Large chunks of snow kinda like grains and it could possibly be one of the worst electrical storms Ive yet seen, these suckers are loud and bright like no other. Huge purple bolts that are branching across the sky its absolutely nuts. I didnt even think this was possible

It isn't doing anything nearly that cool up here. I just went and drove around a bit. I saw 3 cars stuck and some other thing that had a bunch of cop cars by it. You would figure by now if you live in MN you would have some basic idea on how to handle snow. Dumb People

Thundersnow is not uncommon out here. We've already had a couple of days last December I believe that had Thundersnow. Generally it's either early or late season in Colorado. Ski area have had to close their operations for the day due to it. You definitely don't want to be riding on the mountain if there is lighting going off around you.

Experienced thudersnow for the first time last winter at Mt. Snow in VT. Kinda neat until I realized I was sitting in a metal lift chair suspended between metal towers by lots of metal cable on top of a mountain. They shut down the lift quick. I did not know if it was safer to ride down the middle of the run or stick to the side by the trees. Not exactly the kind of excitement I was looking for!
