Default New app - Connect with local riders

Hi guys

I'm exploring the feasibility of an app that would quickly connect you with others who share your interests. The idea actually evolved from my frustrations with meetup.com and my positive experiences with meeting local riders online.

You can check out the prototype here.

Your honest feedback and comments are welcomed.

Damn am I just old

I start talking to ppl I see in lift line or riding in the park. Maybe ask if I can take a few laps with them. If we share a chair and we've seen each other before, chat with them and introduce myself.

I've PM'd several forum members that live close to my area or have posted in my region and invited them to ride with me if they ever hit my local hill. Ive meet a ton of ppl and made some good friends I ride with as much as we can with this one !!!

Damn old school skills escape ppl.... Good luck sounds like it would work

uhmmm...this kinda scares me...you have

bboytommy who is frustrated and want to meat loco riders and then apl is wow'd and wants a great ____ job and luck. Then Argo refers to grindr for buttnies.

So bboytommy...what about a video introduction...since ur asking for feedback...or surveying. Not that I'm asking to see your package.

I generally dislike riding with folks who have to always check their phone...cause they stop, call and make plans....all kinds of crap. Often I will just loose them because they are more interested in messing with their phone than riding or just chillin or they are not paying attention. Besides the locs already recognize each other and generally know where other is riding.

This app looks like Tinder for bros that want to do bro things. At least the app I'm working on won't suck.

Haha Thanks for the feedback so far guys. I appreciate the old school method of connecting with people and the app was just trying to link you with locals that you might otherwise not meet.

I'm just trying to see if this problem exists and provide a better solution for it.

Do you guys have a desire to do an activity but don't have friends who share a common interest?

Nope. I live in a virtual world where I do virtual things with virtual people.
