Oh man that sucks. Going on a trip and going big from the beginning is something we all do. Unfortunately, when you do that, this sort of thing happens frequently. We were sessioning a jump into soft snow we made at Mary Jane several years ago. A group from Iowa showed up and wanted to jump it. We told them to go for it. One guy was a little hesitant but wanted to do it. We told him no biggie just go slow. The jump was a roll in to a cat track with a steep ridge. So you could manage your speed. Dude hikes up and figure 11's it. Gets about a 20 ft drop, lands in the back seat and blows his acl. First run of the day, on the first day of his week long trip. Bummer. Sucks you are all laid up but at least you didn't do your knee.

and since you are stuck in Utah, you could drive up to Ogden and get yourself a hooker...

That was a pretty nasty fracture... are they throwing in a few screws or are you going to need additional structural support? Good luck with the recovery.

he talked about one screw to put bone back together, but i am being referred to another doc for that job. For the meantime pain killers and patience, next appointment is for Monday. My arm is swelled to hell and the pain is there. whats really killing me is whats about to come pain wise (been through that already :/)

I am also out of commission job wise so I have my fam helping me with that aspect. For now concentrate in the university and getting better.

Oh i did drive to Vegas, but now I am back in ft.lauderdale

maybe you should have kept the bacardi and baileys out of the picture....

ok bad pun, sorry about the arm man, same thing took me out for a month with my ankle, should have gotten surgery, but the doctor found out that I was going home for winter break and wouldnt be back for a follow up appointment so he cut off my cast and gave me a liner to keep my foot warm on the way out. I didnt fracture but I wish I did, I tore all 4 ligaments in my ankle. I was back on my board in a little over a month, I wish you the best of luck in your recovery.

Some good news came my way today, the most recent x-ray shows that the main fracture is healing pretty good and there's no displacement. So that means no surgery temporarily, on the bad side I have an additional fracture the the previous x-rays did not reveal. That explains all the pain I been feeling there.

I seems like i crushed my wrist when i landed, the doctor said that I was really lucky the impact wasn't harder and the ligaments don't seem to be affected.

so for now a blue uncomfortable cast, but no surgery

that is lucky, I destroyed all 4 ligaments in my ankle last year. slight fracture and a chipped bone, it was no fun
