Default Jet Snowboarding!

I posted this vid in that thread with the stupid rotary whatisis, propel thingamabob! But the more I thought about it, I decided it was deserving of a separate thread to see if anybody else sees any potential for this.

It does look kinda cool. And I could definitely see an advantage to something like this for ppl living in the flats! Dunno if it would be very practical on the hill or BC tho. Anyway, here it is again!

yeah who needs a lift with one of those, looks kinda heavy though

AFAIK ducted fans (which are what those are) are not very efficient; your runtime would probably be a matter of minutes unless you want to carry a ton of batteries.
You would get way more thrust with a couple of decent size propellers. Of course then you have to worry about caging them or losing fingers, so...
