this is my first season of snowboarding and i have been @ mthigh/snow summit 5 times. im using a forum dw-153, 2009 burton L freestyle bindings. its a bit harder to do carving on this board. i thought it was only me but when i used my friends board (forgot the name (rentals)) i can do it really easily. i noticed that its more flexible than mine. when i did boxes on my forum board, its harder compared to my friends board. i always messed up the landing on my forum. but when i do heel/toe i dont get stuck, and its faster and stable on high speeds. im 6'0" 165lbs wear a size 10 dc park boots. i spend my time usually on 80% cruisin, 20%park. me and my friends are goin to mammoth mountain in 2 weeks and they said its powdered over there. so the best (suited for my ability) board for that would be and pls include a reason. i'd like to do butters, hit jumps(soon), boxes rails on it.
ive been researching on what to buy and found these snowboards with good reviews. skate banana is the most hyped but a lil bit expensive for me k2 www 164.99@skis.com forum youngblood 179.99 @skis.com forum destroyer 199.99@skis.com forum seeker 249.99@skis.com burton custom ics 274.99@sierrasnowboard.com burton blunt burton clash capita scare/stairmaster 112@skis.com gnu chb mtx never summer evo 202.43@evogear.com what bindings would go along with the board too. what do you recommend? these bindings have great reviews on them. rome 390 burton cartels ride spi union cadet flow (what model is best?) Ski Equipment | Ski Gear | Ski Wear | Skis.com - The Ultimate Online Ski Shop has the best deal right now, anybody ordered sumthn from them? hows the shiiping? what store has the best deal and reliable customer service? they have the rocker for 163, and dc judge for 130. thanks guys, appreciate it. i just dont want to regret what im gon buy. Forum Destroyer + 390s.
If you're gona be cruising and doing park, that set up is money. I ride an 09 destroyer and its super sick in the park. Skate banana is obviously a really good board too, but it just depends what you're gona be doing. Out of those boards, id say either: 1. Forum destroyer 2. Skate banana 3. Scaremaster Skate banana is gona be super easy to press and such. Destroyer is a really solid board for kickers, rails and cruising the mountain. Scaremaster is a really nice board too.. flexable, will be really good in park, but might lack on the rest of the mountain.. Last edited by MadRopes; 03-08-2009 at 05:32 PM. |

Destroyer is gona be a bit stiffer... but the thing about the destroyer is that once you break it in a bit its fucking amazing.. mine is like perfect flex right now...
Destroyer is super durable too.. stairmaster is gona be a softer.. but also a good choice... personally id go with the destroyer cause i know how sick of a board it is... destroyer is really good for kickers and will shred the rest of the mountain outside the park better than the stairmaster. basically. All park: Stairmaster 70% Park, 30% mountain: destroyer either way you wont be disappointed. Last edited by MadRopes; 03-08-2009 at 05:56 PM. |
