hey everyone. the seasons over where i am in CT and im guessing some of you dont want to pay to go out on some vacation across the world to go snowboarding. The other day i was goofing off and came across a huge tarp and i laid it on my backyard with my drop at the edge of it. I added soap and water to the tarp so i could slide and suprisingly it worked pretty well. i set up a box and im making a rail soon for it. So for those people who want to get some good training in before the next season and not skate/wakeboard this is probably for you.
There have been posts of this a while back. In fact one showed a setup with a video he did in his backyard with a tarp and had a box slide set up and it worked very effectively.
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Tarps will do the job so I hear without it ripping. You can find a good length, say 20' by 20' for near 100 bucks. Well worth the investment if you're going to use it each weekend or even daily for that matter.
Just found over a hundred feet of tarp downstairs ... Gonna try it. I hope the rain gets it wet enough. Do you guys suggust using soap with a roll in. Well its kind of a roll in.
It was a Highways maintenance truck stopping traffic because of the big ass snowblower shortly ahead
