Man I don't have balls to learn AE. I'm good with PS, DW, AI, even Flash, but AE just won't click. Its probably because I'm used to the Sony Vegas platform :/

SMdskate covered a lot of it and heres what i think

you had a lot of good ideas with the angles and all the but you should smooth everything out more. what i mean is that it the camera motion wasnt very smooth
to me it almost looked like a teaser for a long snowboard film. because there was a lot of shots crammed into a short video i think if you took some of the bad shots out and put slow-mo and a bunch of other effect stuff on it the whole film would have been smoother

also you had a lot of filler shots ( the non-snowboarding shots, like strapping in an stuff like that)
filler shots an important part of a snowboard movie but you there wasnt really enough snowboarding shots to balance it all out

and last the song wasnt really a snowboarding song at all
i dont really know how to explain what a snowboard song is but i find that a lot of the songs i like for snowboard videos are in the techno, soft rap, some pop songs genre. to me snowboarding kindof has its own music genre

but keep making videos it looks like you have a lot of potential to make some sick edits, but your just not very experienced yet.
so watch other peoples videos and keep experimenting with footage on your own thats what editing is all about.

I watched the granite peak 2 vid. Turn off digtal zoom...your getting pixels. Get up and dirty next to the kicker. You get better quality and "bigger shots" when your closer.

A suggustion with the car shots is use a glove, hat, towel(best), or even your boot to dampen the vibrations. Just put it down on the car...i/e dashboard...then set your camera on top of it. If only i knew that for this vids car shots.

ya i know my uncle did most of that filming and he doesnt pick the "best" angles so i had to zoom in on it when i edited it. but atleast he films for us otherwise we would have to waste a lot of time filming ourselves

that glove idea for the car shots is a good idea i will have to try that next time

haha ya i actually like filming a lot but i dont want to waste my runs on the jumps when im at an amazing hill like granite peak haha i will film all day at my house though

Yeah...I useually ride with a crew of 1 or 2 I've never filmed anywhere way from house. I'm debating filming in the park next season.

do it you can get a lot of cool shots at a real hill
like follow cam shots (if you do it right you have to stay close) look really sick
and just a whole bunch of stuff you cant do at your house

Yeah...its just tough for me get out. I didn't go last season. This season I went once. I got my liscense now, so I'm debating buying a pass. Gotta buy a car and get a job first.

jmacphee9, don't you have to go to Alpine like 16 times for the pass to breakeven? I remenber some guy telling me that math and I'm to lazy to look it up.
