Granite Peak 2 looks nice. Well done on the editing. Also ‘Jib and Kicker’ very impressive on the shots and editing. I like the movement of the image. How did you manage to do that (during filming or editing)? And Which camera did you use?

‘Nitroboarder22’ on feedback to your comment. Generally speaking you can probably say that snowboarding has her own style of music (just like basketball or motorcross has). However, this does not mean that the music used in the edit does not fit or will not be liked by the majority of the snowboarders (and other sports enthusiasts). As a boarder myself, I think the music fits perfectly with the vibe that I am looking for. The refrain is meant for tranquility and building adrenaline. The couplet is meant for aggression/action.

You are right about the cut-away (filler) shots and lack of camera smoothness. You can also consider it as a (teaser) trailer, if you would like. I think a lot of snowboarding films are aimed at the action, instead of focusing on the emotion/state of mind of the boarders. For me that is way more interesting. But still, I want to see the action. I will not consider my ‘film’ as an ultimate outcome of what I had in mind. There still needed to be more action (and other improvements).

For now I will keep on practicing with camera and editing and moving on to other projects.

Cool.
That place is even bigger then I thought. Is it like a big dome or something?

It was all secondary panning in the the post production editing. Pretty much I was out there by myself. Put the camera up on the tripod. Aimed it where it needed to be, and basically let it record. Then in editing, just come back and pan it out and add key frames. In the big boarding movies, they actually set up railroad tracks with a "sled" and one guy films why the other pushes.

My camera I'm using is nothing special. A Sony DCR-SR42. Generally speaking, its a tad bigger than a pop/soda can. My only complaint now is that I didn't go with a Hi-Def. Currently there getting real cheap.

I've seen a few videos this year and I'd have to agree with that for the most part. I belive Forum or Agenst em' and That's It That's All try to bring you to the same field as them. This contrary to Prediclous where its just like we're badasses. We get drunk and throw down. I still thought it was a sick movie

ya i think you understand what i was trying to say and i want to encourage anyone who likes editing because it gets really fun to do when you are able to envision something and then actually make it happen on the computer.
also for me editing snowboarding is like a substitute to snowboarding. so when i cant snowboarding i edit haha and it helps me get over the depression of the season being over
