Goals for the '14/'15 season

So... leaves are turning yellow, time to count the days and make plans:

- get a lesson for riding switch
- practice small jumps
- eliminte unconscious counter rotation in steeps
- kick the guys if they want to begin aprés after a handfull runs - lazy old pack!
- kick the SO if he ever talks about picking up to tele ski again
- explore our region with the split and visit Verbier and Andermatt
- trip to CO and AK in spring
- finish season in Zermatt, hopefully again with freshies as in the last years

Let's see your aims for the upcoming season.

Hit as many different resorts as I can, work on buttering, maybe leave my comfort zone and try (and like) some different bindings besides Rome, and get another board or two (looking at the NS Ripsaw).

More park progression:
  • Over come my fear of hitting features with a little more speed
  • Get some real footage of this "Gummer" riding park
  • Few more day trips with my daughter and sons if they don't mind being seen with me

As to riding style or tricks
  • Still got 3's on my list for years now
  • boardslides
  • street style rails
  • Jibbing tricks on boxes
  • hit the coping of the wall ride

Stuff I need to continue to work on:

- Switch riding
- butters
- penguin walk
- steeps
- moguls
- direction-swapping at speed
- graduate to medium jumps
- get grabs working
- get 180's working
- graduate to gap-to and street-style features, even if only small ones.

The biggest thing though, is being aggressive all season. Made a point of that last season, and it helped significantly. To that end, I'm going to make a habit of always wearing all my armor. It makes a difference to my attitude.

Error 404. Coffee not found.

Land a backflip. It has been my goal for the past 2 years.

Year 1: Broken collar bone
Year 2: Very, very close...but no cigar

Hopefully this is my year!!

Eat. Sleep. Snowboard. Repeat.

Full-time snowboarding enthusiast hoping to meet some riders that share the passion.

Get back to riding the snowboard (vs skiing) which will include returning to blacks and double blacks-it's been a while since I hit those on a board.....

Ride more backcountry. The snow was so good last year that riding the resorts was damn near BC quality so I rarely even bothered. Think I broke the split out twice last year and both times were super mellow solo trips.

Venture out into backcountry more. Really want to do a heli tour this year at Whistler but wouldn't know until the last moment if it's going to happen.

But the biggest goal is pretty much to avoid serious injuries, don't think my perimenopausal bones can take any more fracturing.
