Default Highbacks-How do you use yours?

I was just wondering how everybody uses their highbacks. Parallel with the heelside edge of your board or with your boot?

I for years just left it as-is but currently this year on the new bindings switched it up to parallel with the board edge.

For all mountain and going off noels it seems to perhaps feel slightly more level when landing and better balancing slightly but just my 2 cents. Mix up your set up and try something new each time you go out, no reason not to. Try it out for yourself and see how it works for ya.

I want to do this, but in the end i go back to what works.

Why would i want to waste a perfectly good day at the mountain with my legs potentially cramping or having to stop for 5-10 minutes to move my bindings around :/

I run my bindings parrallel to the heelside of the board, or atleast as close as they can be by eyeballing it.

i always thought that it was the general rule of thumb to rotate your highbacks parallel to the length of the board.. i've rode my friends board that didn't have his highbacks rotated and i do notice a difference. when i would shift my weight to my front leg to initiate a heelside turn i felt like i didn't have enough support since i wouldn't have any high back in that direction.

i have mine aligned with the boot not heel edge, just because my ride rx bindings are way too hard to adjust there.

but i have ridden with them aligned before and i can't really notice that much of a diff. i think the more important adjustment that you can really feel if forward lean adjustment, i think it helps way more with heelside turns

Yeah, i tried that once, didnt really need as much pressure to initiate heelside. Also helped keeping my knees bent.
