Over.

Just broke out the iron and huge hunk of wax. Standing on the roof deck, in shorts and near 60 degree temps, I put the summer storage coat of wax on the board. About to head out to a local skate park for a bit, and then have softball practice at 6pm.

Winter is over. Spring is here. Mixed feelings abound.

I didn't get the summer wax done yet but had my mountain bike tuned up and it is ready to go. Spring is here and the snow is pretty much gone anywhere close to me.

It's over when I SAY it's over Going this weekend and next weekend as well perhaps up north VT.

Just to rub it in . . . Baker has over 2 feet of fresh snow in the past 2 days. I'll be waxing my board and polishing it off for the next few months!

Agreed on the mixed feelings... thought about chasing winter, but yesterday I submitted and decided that I'd hit this cool little cement park not too far from me... I've only skated it once, so the more I think about it, the more stoked I get.

Only problem is my knee... I tweaked it a bit playing basketball with some work mates back in January. It held up well on the snow, but skating AND on cement is a completely different ball game.

Come on over to Oregon, Sed. I've got a third bedroom with nothing but a computer in it, which you're welcome to use. You'll have your own bathroom, too. We're only 1 1/2 hours from Hood and I've got a spring pass at Tline. I'm sure I can convince the wife to take my Z to work. I work from home so you and me can hit the slopes every day. All you have to pay for is air fare.

Capital idea, right?
