So my gf's lil bro toar his MCL and his ACL 3 weeks ago... He just had the surgery repair both ligaments. His doctor says he's looking at 6 months recovery which should be around december. Anybody have any expirience on boarding after this injury? does it affect your rideing ability and is it better for him not to board this next season? he's been boarding since he was 11 and he's 17 now. The poor guy's been playing football all through highschool and now had to miss his senior season this year where he was finally going to start on varsity. Other then football his favorite thing is snowboarding and he's extremely bummed about missing football. so were trying to see if he will be able to snowboard this year either. snowboarding puts alot of stress on your knees so im very nervous for him to go at it this season.

Easy style it and make sure he has a good brace for the first season. Just make sure he doesn't become super dependent on the brace because it will make him a weaker rider in the long run. Also make sure he doesn't spend 6 months laying on the couch becoming a serious fat ass, keep him active and it'll make the transition a lot easier.
