nope its wintergreen and everyone who goes there knows they are always wrong. They said they are making snow today so we'll see when they open. Snowshoe is open. In, New Mexico Taos and Angel Fire open the 14th but Taos doesnt allow snowboarding.

Sugar Mtn in Banner Elk, NC has been open for about two weeks. They have been making snow the whole time, and got a few inches of natural snow last weekend. Kinda off and on whether or not they get good coverage, and they had gotten up to a 22" base over the weekend, and is around 20" now. Have been open from the top a few times this past weekend.

Sugar is 115 acres and 1200' vertical drop. I believe the longest run is a mile and a half from the top. I believe it is the largest mountain in NC as far as acres. Largest in NC for skiable acres, longest run, longest lift, and number of trails. skisugar.com
