Default The Snowboarding Food Thread

After a day of shredding in the cold, a warm fire and good food and drink with your family and friends is the way to top off the perfect winter day. What are some of the food rituals you enjoy the most after a day of riding?

For me, after a day of riding in the mid winter biting cold and blowing snow, nothing beats sitting by the fireplace with a bowl of homemade chilli with lots of red onions and New Mexico Hatch Chili Peppers, complimented by hot, right out of the oven Cornbread with butter. Add an ice cold Corona and it`s the perfect meal after snowboarding.

chilli in a bread bowl!

my fondest memory of whistler!

A nice juicy burger with a nice heaping serving of fries and some gravy topped with a nice hot cup of Chinese tea. If I'm still at work that is. If I'm at home, a nice hot bowl of beef noodle soup does the trick satiating my stomach!

Default Chinese Food

I'm not really traditional but i think my favorite is some delivered Chinese food, nothing makes me happier than sitting in my room after a day of snow than a box of rice and sesame seed chicken
watching local tv shows

Then of course hitting up the bars to partake in the good times only a local pub can offer

Jess, I'm totally on board with you. Instead of the tea though, I will usually have a few beers. And ketchup all over the gravy on fries. Ketchup and gravy mixed is Nirvana.

I usually grab some Odang(Think of it like a hotdog but with fish) and some Chicken broth. When i get home I'll get some Shabu Shabu; or spicy chicken with some Soju(Rice Vodka)

I love chili after a day boarding. If I'm not feeling like chili I'll go with two packs of ramen, with lots of soy and lemon pepper. Good stuff it is!
