Mammoth - November 2006

November 2006
Well I have been up in Mammoth since Friday evening. I have snowboarded each day on the, what has become known as the “White Ribbon of Death.” The weather has very slowly turned much colder and is pretty windy tonight. There is just barely enough snow to ride the Broadway strip of mountain run. There are a few terrain park features spread throughout Broadway.

As far as the rest of Mammoth, Horseshoe Lake was very peaceful on Sunday afternoon. Convict Lake on Monday afternoon was also quite calm and just waiting to freeze over. Hiked up to Minaret Vista this afternoon. It was getting much windier out at the vista. High dark clouds were surround the Minarets.

Pictures of course have been updated on my webpage with shots from the Mountain and some action shots from the Unbound Park features...ENJOY !!!!

Couple more weeks and Mammoth will be PACKED.

Although, nothing beats Mammoth in the spring time... even past that, you can still ride until June some years. Definitely awesome for those in the SW part of the country...
