Ya i'm sure that didn't help but I can tell the difference between pain from that and it just plain getting tired. Half the reason was putting to much weight on my back leg & my bindings wern't set right.

you know the age old bestest ever exercise for sideways sliding, for the thigh at least.... is the sitting against the wall trick

you know, where you have your whole back (fom shoulders down to arse) pressed against a wall and your legs are bent at 90 degrees at the knee. you then stay for as long as you can.

do that 3 times every day and after a month, you can ride all day like a tour de france cyclist! thunder thighs!

Bikes work well for that especially after a good squat session.
Very true.

I never do cardio though... that why I play basketball twice a week, and indoor soccer once a week (these days) :P

also known as a wall squat... when you really feel like getting fiesty start adding some weight to it and do it in sets... hold the position for 10 counts and repeat 10x wanna talk about being spent in the legs that's the way to do it.

Stretches are something that should be done everytime before and after you ride, but honestly just regular physical activity is (ie running) just a good idea to keep yourself from having such horrible first day blues. Personally I like to find something fun, just running doesn't really cut it for me I get bored, so instead all summer and some this fall me and my friends have been playing alot of ultimate frisbee.

I can do that at work just set a couple rotors on my lap. If you don't get the reference I sell car parts.
