Hey Guys!

I am Darius, I am 30 years old with a background in business and engineering and I am from Vancouver, Canada. I love snowboarding and skiing and frequently go to Whistler (1.5 hours away from my home). I am an Entrepreneur (finally took the leap of faith and quite my job last year) and we are making a product for skiers and snowboarders.

I am just looking for advice on our product so we don’t build the wrong thing. I want to make sure it is not just me who has the problem(s) I am trying to solve.

I would really appreciate it if I could talk to you for 15-20 minutes as your opinion would be highly valuable! As a token of appreciation I will give you $5 CAD - think of it as me grabbing you a cup of coffee or a beer :)

If interested please reach out to me at dariussilva04@gmail.com to arrange a Skype/phone conversation!

You schedule a meeting that works best for your here https://calendly.com/dariussilva04/20-minute-phone-call/

Thank you!! really appreciate it guys :)

In compliance with your forum rules, here is my short introductory video:

Yes, it would be easier to just ask questions or ask people to fill surveys. Because of the nature of the questions I have, it is best to have one-on-one conversations. I am sure I will get a wide range of answers based on the questions I have and by having a conversation I can dig deeper, feel the emotion behind the response, move to a different topic or be inspired by something completely new that I did not think of before - these are kind of things that won't come out when we just fill in surveys.

Ok, Bad ideas are:

Dual Snowboard.
Any rotating binding system
Any binding suspension system
Any pole propelling system
The snowboard brake
Motorized snowboards
Kneeling snowboard

Cool ideas:
New shapes / profiles
New materials
useful apps
New / cheaper split system

would probably be easier if you went to a mountain and face to face'd people there with beer/coffee in hand as I can only imagine people's reluctance to do 1v1's on the phone/skype let alone setting up an appointment.

not trying to be a dick, if I come off as one, sorry, my apologies. I just thought that it would help you more by going to the slopes. if you change your mind and make a survey I'll fill it out.

Thanks Jae for the suggestion. That is actually a great idea. I have tried approaching people in the waiting lines at Whistler and it is not as easy as you think. People go there with plans and friends and don't want to waist time talking to a stranger. I have had some limited success using that method though. But going there with some goodies might be game changer.

+1

I don't mind the call but as mentione I'm living in CET, so it may be bit complicated to find a time slot... send a PM and I'll happily answer as well. No money needed.
