What you need is a clear ptex stick that you melt into the gash and scrape to be level with the base. What you linked is a slab of pre-fab base. Involves cutting off the existing base and yada yada.. lots of work. Not what you want/need, I don't think?
I was thinking of getting the clear PTex but I would love for it to look like I never repaired it in the first place which is why i was looking at the green. but yea I just need something too melt in the gash. I thought I could do that with the product I linked.

Is it a core shot? Because if it isn't, the clear ptex will work fine and I doubt anybody will be looking at your base long enough to notice. But if it is a core shot, well, if it was me, I'd just get a new board.
Stick some ptex in it and go ride, my bsod from last season and has loads of repairs it still rides fine and no one can see the base when you ride. I'd rather be having fun than worrying what my snowboards look like.
OP, have a look at clear ptex powder. It will look cleaner than clear candle because it isn't burnt and there is no soot. Shop tech told me its also more durable.

Ah I see why you wanted the green ptex. Had similar damage some years ago. I painted the exposed white area with matching color nail polish, then ptex. The wound still showed but it was pretty well camouflaged.
A snowboard is a tool we use to have as much fun as we can getting down the hill. As a tool, you're board will get beat to shit with time, fuck how it looks. Most of the time, the guys who's base has the most ugly looking p-tex repairs in it is probably the guy who had the most fun.
All the same, if you're going to repair it yourself, get in there with a blade and cut down the sides of the gouge in such a way as to anchor your repair in. Right now your gouge is probably roughly shaped like this, if viewed from the base: \__/. Get in there and cut the sides in at an angle like this: /___\. By doing so, your base will anchor your repair in better.
If you want it done really well or care about it looking really good, get it done by a tech at a shop. It's obviously up to you what you do with your cash and tipping is a personal thing, but I make sure to tip the tech out well any time I have any repairs done at a shop and they do a bang-up job. I've had good repairs and bad repairs, bad tunes and fucking great tunes. A good tech is a fucking miracle worker and should be valued as one, in my opinion.

Okay, I actually just went and looked at your damage, and it's nothing, dude. Just cut the sides down like I showed above, drip a candle in there, go at it with a metal scraper to level things off, and you're laughing. If you want less carbon in the candle drippings, light it with a butane lighter.
