On-Trac Shipping Service

I don't do a lot of online shopping, but when I do, I loathe seeing On-Trac being used. Over the past few years, more and more retailers are using it when an item qualifies for free shipping. I'm cheap when it comes to shipping and I am not going to pay for something when there is a free offer. I can only imagine that they are the cheapest source, so thats why they are being used, and it surely shows why on the customers end. Now, I only have a small sample size for them, about 15 shipments, but each and every box I have received has been damaged. Some boxes have been completely trashed. Nothing has been damaged since most of the items I purchase online are durable and not electronics, but it still kind of upsetting. Furthermore, their tracking system it garbage compared to UPS. I can never tell when it leaves it origin until it ends up at their facility near my house.

Now, the reason why I am bitching about it since nothing really has been damaged by On-Trac. Everyday, they cruise by my house at 2:30-3:30pm. That is until they have something I have ordered. So, there I was waiting for my snowboard to come, when 3:30 rolls by :nerd:. Ok, NBD, it's only Friday night, it should be here in an hour. 4:30pm rolls by, hmm, still not here, still NBD, it will be any moment. 5:30 comes along, I wonder if I should cancel my dinner plans since I would rather open a box containing a snowboard than eat dinner with friends, all the while worrying that someone will steal the board off of my porch (Package thefts are becoming more and more common in my area). 6:30, wtf, where are you On-Trac, dinner plans canceled. Excitement starting to turn into thoughts of the board not getting here till Saturday. 7:30, Well, guess it's not coming. When low and behold, there is that sweet, sweet sound that all delivery trucks in my area make. There she is, On-Trac. As the guy steps out of the truck and comes to my door, he is only carrying a small package. Heart break ensues as I watch him walk up, ring the doorbell and leave. He gets back into his truck, but what is this? He continues through their secret passage to the back of the truck and returns with a slim oversized package. I greet him at the door, he hands me the board, wham bam thank you mam, I am now in possession of the item I have been waiting for all afternoon. And guess what, each end of the box are pretty damaged, but thankfully Capita wrapped each end of the board perfectly. So that was my Friday night last night.

Now why did I type all of this, it is just to see if anyone else dislikes seeing On-Trac as a shipping company for an item that you have purchased.

ps. I know I am whining like a little bitch, but I just want to get my hands on this board. None of the local shops had it in my size.
pps. I realize that while snowboarding, I will destroy the board much more so than any shipping company, but it is just principle.
ppps. UPS and Fedex are always in my area at the same time of day, no matter what.
pppps. My home office overlooks the street, thats how I was able to see and hear the truck.

TL;DR On-Trac sucks and can eat a bag of dicks.

I have seen the trucks but never been subjected to them. Our fedex and ups drivers are pretty good other than they knock and run like a prankster, fuck you if you need to sign.... tough when our bedrooms are on the third floor.... usually they can use our signature on file but every once and a while we are SOL.
